Frequently asked questions about ClaimIt
How do I start selling?
Create an account, go to 'Sell', fill out your auction details, add photos, and click 'Go Live' when ready. You'll broadcast live video while auctioning items to your audience.
How does bidding work?
When a seller goes live, you can watch their stream and bid on items in real-time. Use the quick bid buttons or enter a custom amount. Highest bid wins when the timer ends or the seller clicks 'Sold'.
How do I add funds to my wallet?
Go to your Wallet and click 'Add Funds'. You'll be redirected to Stripe to securely add money using your credit card. Funds are available immediately for bidding.
When do I get paid as a seller?
After a sale, funds are held in escrow until the buyer confirms receipt (or 7 days after delivery, whichever comes first). Then the payment (minus 10% platform fee) is released to your wallet.
What are the fees?
ClaimIt charges sellers a 10% platform fee on completed sales. There are no fees for buyers. Payment processing fees are included in the platform fee.
How do I ship items?
After a sale, the buyer will add their shipping address. You'll see it in the order details. Ship the item within 3 business days and add the tracking number to update the order status.
What if there's a problem with my order?
Buyers have 3 days after delivery to report issues. Contact the seller first through the order page. If you can't resolve it, contact support@claimitlive.com and we'll help mediate.
What items can I sell?
ClaimIt is focused on collectibles: trading cards, sports cards, toys, memorabilia, and similar items. See our Terms of Service for prohibited items.
How do I go live?
On your auction page, click 'Go Live'. You'll need to allow camera and microphone access. Then add items to your queue and click 'Go' to start auctioning each item.
Can I schedule auctions in advance?
Yes! When creating an auction, choose 'Schedule for Later' and pick a date/time. Your auction will appear in 'Upcoming' and buyers can set reminders.
